ISSUE 2: Editor’s Letter

Juno Le, Editor-in-Chief

We’ve finally made it to the end of the year (insert cheers and applause).

I’d like to begin by congratulating the Knight Writers staff for another amazing print issue. My hope is that while reading Issue 2, they’ll be able to see the growth in the quality of their work and the way it changes the end product. They’ve learned what it takes to not only start a project but finish it properly.

Speaking of projects, the Robinson campus is preparing for the start of a new project. When we return from Winter Break, things will be a lot different. During your last week at Robinson, take a minute to reminisce in those hallways that you know you won’t see in January. Have that catwalk photoshoot one last time, because I sure will.

This issue’s editorial came in light of a recent school shooting. For someone whose last experience with a school shooting threat was in first-period newspaper, it means a lot to me that we’re addressing the lack of actual we’re taking to protect students and teachers.

For now, I’m wishing everyone luck on their midterms. I’m feeling just as stressed as you are (my psychology exam study guide’s even open on a separate tab). Take a moment to breathe (and continue reading the issue) because we’re almost there.

Happy Holidays, Knights.
