Viral videos are nothing new. But in effort to keep up with the trend and promote campus organizations, the advanced journalism class is issuing a challenge: Show us your Harlem Shake.

The viral videos of Harlem Shaking took off a little over two weeks ago. Robinson students and lacrosse players already shot their :30 second video and the link is included here. Bryan Fielding and Richie Yau said their video took about thirty-minutes to plan and film.

“It was a fun thing to do,” said Fielding. “I think it is great for team bonding, too.”

Fielding also said the timing helps promote their first game of the season.

“We posted the video last night at like 11:00 pm,” he said. “In about seven hours it already had 131 views.”

If your club or organization is interested in stepping up to the challenge, please email a link to your video to [email protected].
