Students in FBLA, Future Business Leaders of America, competed in the District Level FBLA competition on Nov. 26-28. Eighteen of the competitors placed, which included four students who made first, three students who made second, and two students who made first in their varying events.

“I’m proud of how we did,” said Kyle Johnson, freshman. “I think it went really well.”

Students competed in events like business calculations, personal finance, website design, and business presentation. For business presentation, judges assigned students a specific topic. Students presented their topic in front of two judges. Ria Kale, freshman, placed second in this event.

“It’s a little ironic that I placed under another girl from Robinson,” said Kale. “But it still feels good to have done well.”

Several Robinson students found themselves competing against each other. Multiple students placed in business presentation, emerging business issues, and principles and procedures.

“It was a very rewarding experience,” said Sean Piontek, freshman. “I feel like this is a really great achievement to put on my record.”

Students that placed will compete in the state competition held in March.
