Heading into the season’s final stretch, both Robinson and Bloomingdale took the field looking to pick up some momentum heading toward districts.
The Knights got on the board first, with a RBI single from Darius Autry (’15) that gave Robinson a 1-0 lead. Despite advancing two runners into scoring position later in the inning, they failed to push anything else across.
Patrick Kiszla (’15) had a rough night on the mound for Robinson, lasting 4 1/3 innings while allowing seven runs on nine hits and two walks. Mitchel Chowning (’15) relieved Kiszla from there, allowing four runs on four hits and two walks.
Highlighting the offensive output for the Bulls was Logan Crouse (’15), who picked up two singles in three at-bats while also drawing a walk. Danny Lorenzo (’15) had himself a big night as well, going three for three with three singles and a RBI.
Bloomingdale starter Daylon Owens (’15) settled in after a rough first, going all five innings, allowing just one run on three hits and one walk.
The 11-1 victory for the Bloomingdale Bulls pushes their record to 12-8, while the loss drops the Robinson Knights to 8-11.
