Robinson took the field on Friday night against Chamberlain looking to pick up a win for their seniors on senior night. Though this was not the final home game, homecoming activities forced senior night to be moved two weeks forward. The Knights did not disappoint as they rushed for 189 yards on their way to a 34-19 victory.

After an early Chiefs fumble, Robinson scored two plays later on a 7-yard touchdown run by quarterback Malik Tyson (’16). Later in the first quarter and on into the second, the Knights drove 80 yards down the field to score again, this time on an 11-yard run by Aivory Foster (’15).

Foster made another big play later in the half when Demontre Moore (’15) tipped Reggie Wester’s pass into his hands before he took it 63 yards the other way for a touchdown, giving the Knights a 21-0 lead.

“I gotta thank my teammate Demontre Moore; he tipped the ball. Without him, I wouldn’t even have the pick six, so I gotta give him his credit as well,” said Foster of his defensive score.

Malik Tyson hit Iyan Mitchell (’16) for two touchdowns in the second half from 27 and 17 yards out.

Anfernee Alston (’17) rushed for 130 yards on 23 carries while Foster added 58 yards and a touchdown on just eight carries. Mitchell caught four passes for 51 yards and the two touchdowns on the night.

After their second consecutive victory, Robinson (3-5) will travel north to face Blake (2-6) next Friday. Kickoff is set for 7:30.
