College Football Bowl Games Announced

The 2014 college football regular season has reached its end, meaning that bowl season is upon us. This season features the inaugural College Football Playoff, a four-team playoff for the National Championship. The four teams, selected by a 12-person committee, were announced on Sunday.
In the first semifinal matchup, 2nd-ranked Oregon will play 3rd-ranked Florida State at 5 p.m. on New Year’s Day in Pasadena, California. The other semifinal game takes place just three and a half hours later, with top-ranked Alabama playing 4th-ranked Ohio State in New Orleans. The winners of each game will then square off in the National Championship Game on January 12 in Arlington, Texas.
The rest of the bowl lineup was also announced on Sunday. Games being played in Florida or played by Florida colleges include:
12/22- Miami Beach Bowl (Miami, FL): BYU (8-4) vs. Memphis (9-3)
12/23- Boca Raton Bowl (Boca Raton, FL): Marshall (12-1) vs. Northern Illinois (11-2)
12/26- Bitcoin St. Petersburg Bowl (St. Petersburg, FL): UCF (9-3) vs. North Carolina State (7-5)
12/27- Duck Commander Independence Bowl (Shreveport, LA): Miami (FL) (6-6) vs. South Carolina (6-6)
12/29- Russell Athletic Bowl (Orlando, FL): Oklahoma (8-4) vs. Clemson (9-3)
12/31- Capital One Orange Bowl (Orlando, FL): Mississippi State (10-2) vs. Georgia Tech (10-3)
1/1- Outback Bowl (Tampa, FL): Auburn (8-4) vs. Wisconsin (10-3)
1/1- Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl (Orlando, FL): Missouri (10-3) vs. Minnesota (8-4)
1/2- Taxslayer Bowl (Jacksonville, FL): Iowa (7-5) vs. Tennessee (6-6)
1/3- Birmingham Bowl (Birmingham, AL): East Carolina (8-4) vs. Florida (6-5)
