Sarai Cochran, Senior Staff Writer

Sarai Cochran is a junior at Robinson and a Staff Writer for RHSToday and Knight Writers. She has been on staff for two years now, writing many stories and coming up with new ideas.

Beyond her interests in writing, she also enjoys taking dance classes, listening to music, and watching crime-related shows. Cochran has been taking dance classes since age five and, in middle school, she even attended a performing arts school.

Music has its own way of bringing peace to those who listen, so Cochran uses music as a way to relieve anxiety and better her mood.

When she was younger, her father would watch crime shows on TV and she always thought they were cool. As a result, she now is interested in joining a field that is in some way related to criminology.

In five years, Cochran sees herself studying to pursue one of her interests. "In college, but maybe a performing arts college. I know I want to do something with criminology or maybe psychology, but performing arts for dance like minor and criminology major. But I'm not sure yet," Cochran said.

Cochran lived in Florida her whole life. "I've never moved outside of South Tampa, ever. I moved but I've never really moved to another county," she said. On a few vacations, Cochran has visited a few states like Minnesota, South Carolina and Washington. When she's older, she hopes to travel more one day.
