Zoe Thaxton

Zoe Thaxton, Online Managing Editor

Zoe Thaxton is a junior at Robinson and the Online Managing Editor of RHSToday and Knight Writers. She's returning for her second year on staff for her first year as an editor.

Thaxton has a strong passion for writing and particularly enjoys writing A&E reviews, opinion stories and anything really centered around politics. She finds stories like these interesting to write and enjoys being able to share her thoughts and opinions.

A lot of her interests reside in retro trends. Thaxton enjoys listening to rock and 70s/80s music, including Queen, David Bowie, Elton John, Def Leopard, ABBA, Sweet and Kiss. She also does partake in listening to more modern, indie rock like Jack Stauber, Mother Mother and Saint Motel.

Thaxton is a member of the Key Club and, after walking around at the annual Club Fair, is looking at joining the Political Science Club and Photography Club.

In her free time outside of school, Thaxton likes to play the bass guitar. She's been playing for about two years. Her love for writing continues outside of journalism and she enjoys writing stories or scripts. She also used to tap dance when she was younger and has recently considered picking it up again.

"I hope to continue writing but understand that with the editor position, that may be put aside a bit. I want to help the staff writers get used to working on the paper/website, help them get better [at writing] and enjoy their time as well."
